Large Document Copying

  • High speed large format printing from CAD files, manual drawings, blueprints or any combination of these methods
  • Multiple collated document sets
  • Hardcopy from digital environments
  • Hardcopy to digital format.
  • 400 DPI ensures the best quality.
  • Reductions and enlargements in 1% increments from 25% to 400%.
  • Media sizes range from 11 inches to 36 inches in width
  • Media types include mylar, bond, and vellum

Our digital printing service utilizes technology that is redefining blueprinting. Unlike traditional blueprinting where there is a potential for prints to be unclear and far from their original quality, every digital print is, in effect, an original, delivering a clean sharp consistent image with no ammonia smell.

This digital printing system is specifically designed with the computer based architect and engineer in mind. This system images directly from most computer file formats to vellum, film or bond. A through E size prints as well as reduced and half-size sets are easily accommodated. Hand drawn originals and existing blueprints can be scanned directly and are no problem for our digital printing system.

CAD Services

CAD Plotting

Our CAD Plotting Service is fast, easy and versatile:

  • We can plot on your choice of BOND, VELLUM, or MYLAR.
  • Your images can be either RIGHT or REVERSE reading.
  • We can plot from AutoCAD DWG files or from AutoCAD Plot files.
  • We can also plot from DXF files, HPGL and HPGL2 plot files.

You can send your files to us electronically. Please put in the body of the message your name, company,
phone number and plotting instructions and call us after you Email it.

For large files or large numbers of files, we recommend uploading the files to our FTP server.

CAD Scanning

Scanning technology is often misunderstood when it comes to transferring drawings into the CAD environment. A lot of people think that you can take a drawing and run it through a scanner and have a CAD-ready file. Unfortunately, it's a bit more complicated than that. The quality and final cost of your scan is very dependent on how far you carry the scan process.

Raster Scanning

The most basic is the raster scan. EBC can scan your drawings into any of five different raster formats. Pricing varies depending on quantity, and condition of original. This type of scan is used either for archiving (to be viewed or vectorized later if needed), for use with later versions of AutoCAD as a view only drawing layer, or for use with special converting or overlay software in your office.

Auto-Vectorization

The next step is Auto-Vectorization. EBC scans the drawing and, with the type of software mentioned above, vectorizes the drawing. This process is best used with very clean drawings (bluelines do not work well). One needs to approach this process with the knowledge that the usual standards and precision of original AutoCad files will not be acheived. Text will have to be replaced, lines may not meet properly, etc. The cost for this process including the scan will run from $25-40 depending on quantity.

The Bottom Line

There are a lot of factors to be considered - the time frame you have, the budget constraints, and the quality of the drawings. In some cases, it is less expensive to re-draw yourself. In most cases, however, scanning is faster and less expensive. It's quick and easy to get a free quote on something that you are considering getting scanned. We will be glad to advise you as to the best method based on your needs and we can have a firm price for you within a few hours. Finishing Services

We Make It Look Good!

Our Finishing Department can mount, laminate, and give a professional look to your posters, drawings, plots, and high contrast photographic prints.

  • Choose from a variety of substrates: foam board, gatorboard, or sintra, on which to mount your prints.
  • We can laminate your mounted documents or prints, enhancing their visual appeal and protecting their surface from light, moisture, dust, and scratches.
  • You can also have your prints just laminated. We use a 5 mil film, which lends stiffness to your print, yet allows it to be rolled loosely for easy transport. Encapsulating produces an edge seal which provides protection from rough handling, rain, and dirt. UV inhibitors in the laminate reduce fading.
